Kara graduated from Samford University in December 2003 and was involved with Campus Outreach at Samford. She went to Thailand with Campus Outreach the summer of 2003 and God gave her a love for Thai people and a desire to go back. She went to Thailand September 2005 and currently is studying the language and spending time with students at Khon Kaen University. She trusts God to use her to point girls to Christ and help them grow in their faith and is excited to be a part of what God is doing in Thailand.

Kara meets with students in the Humanities Department. She has worked there for a year developing relationships through teaching English, Bible studies, and joining students in various activities. This past semester Kara and her ministry partners invited girls to attend the Friend's Forever Retreat where they had the opportunity to build friendships and learn more about God.
